You can protect your Facility from COVID-19 by Disinfecting Your Industrial Computers.
26/03/2020

All industrial plants are places where the work is intense, so standard cleaning routines should not be skipped, and more attention should be paid to cleaning and disinfection these days when the danger of COVID-19 increases.

By following the steps below, you can disinfect your Industrial Computer without damaging its surface.

1. Wear Disposable Gloves to Protect Your Hand Hygiene.

Gloves create a barrier between germs and your hands, help keep your hands clean and reduce your chance of getting germs that can make you sick. Therefore, please use disposable gloves before starting to clean the device to endanger your health.

2. Unplug Your Industrial Computer

Use the lock screen for Industrial PCs designed to be cleaned while the power is on.

If you are using Artech Kiosks and Artech IPC-4XX or IPC-7XX series, you can clean while the power is on, as the front protection class of our product models is IP-65.

3. Disinfect Your Industrial Computer.

If you are using an IP class-free device, spraying the disinfectant directly on your device may damage your device. However, if you are using Artech Kiosks and Artech IPC-4XX or IPC-7XX series, you can spray the disinfectant directly on the device since the front protection class of our product models is IP-65. For other devices with low IP protection class, we recommend spraying the disinfectant on the Microfiber cloth. If you don't have a microfiber cloth, you can use another soft material. Please do not use paper towels when cleaning your device.

To avoid damaging the device surface, use only the disinfectant recommended by the device manufacturer. If you are not sure about the disinfectant, read the product manual or contact the device's manufacturer.

Wipe the screen, entire frame, and recesses thoroughly with your microfiber cloth or soft material. Then let your device air dry.

4. Removing Gloves and Providing Hand Hygiene

When removing the gloves, make sure that the outer sides of the gloves do not touch your bare hands. Then, throw the gloves into the waste container and wash your hands and apply your hand sanitiser when you are done.
